National 4-H Week is underway!!!

So I hope you are ready for this week b/c National 4-H Week is here! Celebrate this week by telling a friend about 4-H, wearing a 4-H t-shirt, or participating in the STOKES STOCK UP!

The STOKES STOCK UP is our first annual food drive to help out the local food banks in Stokes County!  You can drop off non-perishable food items at any of the three Stokes libraries, the King YMCA or the Extension office in Danbury!  The drive ends on Saturday, October 9!

National 4-H Week will end with an explosive event: the Bur-Mil Festival located near Stokesdale in Guilford County! We'll be at the festival on October 9, 2010 from 10-4pm with our National 4-H Week Science experiment as well as a 3-D Dome Theater, airing various science programs!

Come out to the free festival and experience 4-H through the world of science!!!

Celebrate all that 4-H does this week!!!!!

4-H and the Fairs

If you missed the Stokes County Fair, the Stokes Stomp, and Kingfest, then you missed a great time in 4-H!!!! We sold sweet tea to raise money for youth programs and scholarships!!! Also, we worked hard at facepainting and signing up new people for 4-H!  We signed up over 50 new families!!! Yipee!!!

Hopefully we'll have new faces at our upcoming events!!!

Also, youth did great showing their animals at the Stokes County Fair!!! It was a great time for all!!
