Summer in Stokes County is getting underway. Registration started May 1 and ends on May 30! There is not much time left, so don't forget to sign up for the programs which are being offered this year! Teen Retreat is coming up!!!!! It is an awesome event where teens go to hang out, do workshops, dance, elect district officers, etc This year we're having a scavenger hunt and staying in a hotel. The dates are March 20-21, & the deadline to sign up is February 20th. The age limit is 13+. Hope to see you all there!!!!

Stokes County 4-H pretty much rocks my socks like a fox that mocks an ox in a box that locks carried by jocks.

Achievement Night success

So Achievement Night this year was a big hit...if you missed it, then you missed out on some great food from Outback, some awesome entertainment from Collin, and some beautiful decorations!!!

We had a great night with a lot of 4-H'ers being recognized wtih awards for their projects and involvement in 2007! I had a great time. The location was perfect and it looked elegant. Even Dr. Stewart was impressed!!

If you missed this event, don't miss the nutrition fair coming up March 18! It will be great!!!

Gingerbread Competition

So here's the deal...the gingerbread competition was a hit! We had about 10 entries and lots of ppl there just enjoying the event. We played games, decorated ornaments and cookies, and just did a lot of laughing! the creations were actually given to the seniors in the county as their holiday decorations for their party...and then they were given as door prizes! Over 60 seniors enjoyed them!!!! Way to go guys!!! 4-H really outdid itself this year! Hopefully we can make this bigger next year! it was a blast!!!!!!

From the 4-H Staff and Extension Staff have a happy holiday! Eat lots of food..and have lots of fun! and get ready for 2008!!! it is going to be a great year...first up...our 2008 4-H Fitness Day!!!
